Rogers — Groff

Cassie Herring Rogers and Tony Bryan Groff of Kinston were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 31, 2015, at Herriet’s Chapel in Kinston. The Rev. Michael Bryan officiated the double ring ceremony.

Escorted by her son Logen Rogers, and given in marriage by both her sons, Logen and Luke Rogers, the bride is the daughter of Gerald and Sandra Herring of Dover. She is the granddaughter of Frances Herring of Kinston and the late Leon Herring; and the late Louise and Harry Price who lived in Kinston.

A 2003 graduate of South Lenoir High School, she received a Horticulture Technology degree from LCC. She is an Account Relations Specialist with The Free Press.

The groom is the son of Bobby and Linda Groff of Pink Hill. He is the grandson of Carolyn Alcock of Kinston and the late Steve Alcock.

A graduate of Bethel Christian Academy; he received a NICET/NBFAA degree from Wake Tech. He is Project Manager with Down East Protection Systems.

Following a wedding trip to Sevierville, Tenn. the couple resides in Kinston.

The groom’s daughter, Kayla Groff, was maid of honor.

Hunter Groff, the groom’s son, served as his father’s best man.

Kendall Barwick, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Luke Rogers, the bride’s son, was the ring bearer.

The wedding was directed by Melanie Stroud.

Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by friends of the couple at King’s Ballroom. Music was provided by DJ’s Josh Deaver and Jonas Howard.
