Sara Lindsey Farmer and Joffre Taylor Ginn, both of La Grange, were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. April 6, 2013, at Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro. The Rev. Ray Moore officiated the ceremony.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Jesse Ray Farmer Jr. and Pamela Jarnagin Farmer of La Grange. She is the granddaughter of the late Jesse Ray Farmer Sr. and Anne Farmer, who lived in La Grange, and the late Joe Jarnagin and Martha Jarnagin, who lived in Dover.
A graduate of ECU, she is a registered nurse at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
The groom is the son of Michael Eugene Ginn and Retha Jo Taylor Ginn of La Grange. He is the grandson of the late Ira Ginn, Patsy and Mike Boyette, Bill Taylor and Linda Taylor, all of whom lived in La Grange.
A graduate of N.C. State University, he is a loan officer with AgCarolina Farm Credit.
Following a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple resides in La Grange.
The bride wore a strapless mermaid style satin gown with a sweetheart neckline complemented by a cathedral-length veil. She carried a bouquet of coral and ivory roses.
Jessica Farmer Turner of Winterville, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jordan Hoffman, Sarah Kashtan and Brynn Fulghum, all of Wilmington; Kayla Potter of Raleigh; Kristin Hamilton of Richlands; Brittany Oliver of La Grange; and Brandy Marriner of Goldsboro.
Joanna Grace Ginn of La Grange, cousin of the groom, and Piper Blake Turner of Winterville, niece of the bride, were flower girls.
The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were the groom’s brothers, Scotty Ginn and Chad Ginn, both of La Grange; Ethan Dail, Justin Bagley and Josh Bass, all of Greenville; Bryce Grady of Kinston; and Alex McGaughy of Charleston, S.C.
David Chase of La Grange, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
Wedding music was provided by Jordan Rouse of Mount Olive and Brittany Oliver of La Grange.
The wedding was directed by Pam Hudson of Greenville.
Register attendant was Ashley Poe of Greenville; program attendant was Lauren Wiggins of Kinston.
Reception/parties
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Walnut Creek Country Club. Serving guests were Regina Barrow, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Ham and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Houston.
On Jan. 27, a shower was held at the groom’s church, Bethel United Methodist Church in La Grange.
On Feb. 17, a shower was held at the bride’s church, Bethel FWB Church in Kinston.
On April 5, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Walnut Creek Country Club.
