Shanice Valentina Pridgen and Alvin Gregory Davis, both of Raleigh, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. June 29, 2013, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Kinston. Escorted by her father, the bride is the daughter of Albert E. Pridgen and Tina L. Pridgen of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of the late King Pridgen and Minnie Pridgen, and Annie Joyner and Jesse Joyner.
A graduate of Kinston High School, she is a graduate student at N.C. A & T State University.
The groom is the son of Alvin Davis of Kinston and the late Evangeline K. Davis. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Hooker of Newark, N.J., and Mr. and Mrs. Lynwood King of Roselle, N.J.
A graduate of Kinston High and N.C. A & T State, he is a mechanical design engineer with IBM.
Following a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides in Raleigh.
Talesa Mewborn of Kinston, the bride’s sister-in-law, was matron of honor.
