Kayla Zandare Wallace of Albertson and Rexford Tracy Price of Seven Springs were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Sept. 22, 2012, at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Rev. Jeff Dail officiated the ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Mike Wallace and Sharon Wallace of Albertson. She is the granddaughter of Christine Futrell of Richlands and the late Ervin Futrell, and Virginia Wallace of Albertson and the late Mahlon Wallace.

A graduate of East Duplin High School and Wayne Community College, she is a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Tracy Price and Sue Price of Seven Springs. He is the grandson of Arnold and Lou Smith, Marion Barwick and the late Mamie Barwick, and the late Rexford Price, all of Seven Springs.

A graduate of Spring Creek High School and N. C. State University, he is a farmer with Price Brothers Farming, Inc.

Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Seven Springs.

The bride wore a custom designed Casablanca strapless, fit and flare gown with beaded lace over luxe satin.

Her fingertip-length cascading veil was trimmed with scalloped crystal beading. She carried a bouquet of aqua Gerbera daises and yellow and white mixed flowers.

Michelle Rouse of Albertson, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

The bride’s sister, Megan Wallace of Albertson, served as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amber Howell of Seven Springs, sister of the groom; Velvet Newbold of Jacksonville, cousin of the bride; Elizabeth Price of Seven Springs, cousin of the groom; and Elizabeth Wallace of Albertson, cousin of the bride.

Bailey Rouse of Albertson, the bride’s niece, was miniature bride.

The groom’s niece, Ashtyn Dawson of Seven Springs, was flower girl.

The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Graham Bennett of Mount Olive; the groom’s cousins, Justin Price and Zachary Price of Seven Springs; Jamie Rouse of Seven Springs; and Scott Rouse of Albertson, brother-in-law of the bride.

The bride’s nephew, Austin Rouse of Albertson, was ring bearer.

Wedding music was provided by Gloria Morgan, pianist, and Blair Mozingo, vocalist.

The wedding was directed by Amy Wallace. Traci Parker was register attendant.

 

Reception/parties

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Lane Tree Golf Club. Greeting guests were Curtis and Joy Tripp, and Michael and Sherry Price. The bride’s aunts, Donna Futrell and Debra Wallace, cut and served cake.

On July 14, a lawn and garden shower was given by Morris and Linda Murphy, Bo and Joy Britt, Larry and Trudy Shivar, and Linwood and Linda Price at the Murphy home.

On July 29, a wedding shower was given by the bride’s family and friends at the home of Joy Tripp.

On Aug. 5, a wedding shower was given by the groom’s family and friends at Mt. Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

On Sept. 15, a bachelorette and lingerie shower was given by the bridesmaids and friends, and the groom was given a bachelor party by his groomsmen and friends.

On Sept. 21, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Mt. Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
