Carlena Shirne Mills and Kevin Bevan George Davis, both of Laurel, Md., were united in marriage at 8 p.m. Dec. 31, 2013, at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve in Hanover, Md. Elder Joseph Sanders officiated the ceremony.
 
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Climent C. Mills of Kinston.
 
A 1996 graduate of Kinston High School and a 2000 graduate of Hampton University, she received an MBA  from Keller Graduate School of Management in 2004. She is a regional account executive with Skillsoft Corporation.
 
The groom is the son of  Ruby Davis of Bronx, N.Y., and the late Ivanhoe Davis. He is a database administrator with Integreon Corporation.  
 
Following a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple resides in Laurel, Md.
 
The bride wore an exquisite ball gown in rich satin. The strapless bodice, encrusted with Swarovski crystals,  featured a sweetheart neckline and flattering ruching. Her custom made royal blue Swarovski crystal heels were adorned with a crystal mesh bow. She carried a crystal and pearl broach bouquet.
 
Matron of honor was Candace McCain of Gaithersburg, Md.
 
Danielle Richardson of Temple Hills, Md. served at maid of honor.
 
Bridesmaids were Lauren Jones of Suffern, N.Y., Tiffany Robinson of Atlanta, Ga., and the grooms daughters, Aliyah Williams and Tiffani Davis, both of Rockville, Md.
 
John McCain of Gaithersburg, Md. served as best man.
 
Groomsmen were Jahi Wartts of Hyattsville, Md., Abie Tessema of Alexandria, Va., Adam Herndon of Lorton, Va., Craig Mills, brother of the groom of Kinston, and the bride’s brother, Clemonte Mills, also of Kinston.
Cannon Robinson of Atlanta, Ga., was ring bearer.
 
Following the ceremony a reception was held at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve.
