Katherine Paige Garner of Goldsboro and Rusty Lee Winders of Pikeville were united in marriage at 4 p.m. June 9, 2012, at Stoney Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro. The Rev. Gary Bailey was the officiating minister.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Jeffrey Alan Garner and Karen Wood Garner of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Kenneth and Patricia Garner of La Grange, and Boyd and Jean Wood of Kinston.
A graduate of Wayne Christian School and Mitchell’s Academy, she is a hairdresser with Ultimate Raaz.
The groom is the son of Hilton Winders Jr. and Arlene Winders of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late Hilton Winders and Rosa Winders, who lived in Fremont, and the late Robert and Elizabeth Linton, who lived in Snow Hill.
A graduate of Faith Christian School and Johnston Community College, he is a truck driver with Pitt Country Mart.
Courtney Albritton of Goldsboro was maid of honor.
The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.
After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Goldsboro.
