Neta Dare Roberts and Joey Keith Edwards II, both of Winterville, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Sept. 15, 2012, at The Martinsborough in Greenville. The Rev. Vito Bisogno of Trinity United Methodist Church officiated the ceremony.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Bill and Debbie Roberts of La Grange. She is the granddaughter of Eleanor Roberts of La Grange and Virginia Cunningham of Grifton.
A graduate of ECU, she is employed with the State of North Carolina.
The groom is the son of Joey and Cindy Edwards of Goldsboro.
A graduate of Wayne Community College, he is a self employed auto technician.
Following a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Winterville.
The bride wore an ivory, cap sleeve lace gown that featured a trumpet bodice and keyhole back. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas and white roses.
The bride’s cousin, Lauren Spinks of Raleigh, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were the bride’s cousins, Amy Whitfield of La Grange, Molly Taylor and Leah Leggett of Kinston, and Sarah McLawhorn; sister-in-law of the bride, Caroline Roberts of La Grange; Hope Dail of Ayden; and Beth Wade of Greenville.
The groom’s brother, Chris Edwards of La Grange, served as best man.
Groomsmen were John Roberts of La Grange, brother of the bride; Nathan Petterson of Snow Hill; Scott Baker of Farmville; Chris Schmidt of Greenville; Chris Waddell of Winterville; Jonathan Mitchell of Goldsboro; and Jason Bridgers of Greenville.
Wedding music was provided by violinists Mary McKeel and Wrenn McCrae Whitfield.
The wedding was directed by Elizabeth Gunst. Register and program attendants were Madison Slye and Layla Whitfield, respectively.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Martinsborough in Greenville.
