Andrea Maready Sloan of Chinquapin and Dennis Clayton Edwards of Kinston were united in marriage at 4 p.m. March 16, 2013, at Piney Grove PFWB Church in Beulaville. The Rev. Warren Daniel Moss and the Rev. Ken Cash performed the ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Warren Sloan and Pam Sloan of Chinquapin. She is the granddaughter of Elwood Maready of Beulaville and the late Peggy Maready, and the late Jay and Frances Sloan, who lived in Chinquapin. She is a medical receptionist with Kinston Medical Specialists, PA.

The groom is the son of Dennis Edwards and Pat Edwards of Kinston. He is the grandson of Frances Edwards of Kinston and the late Cornell Edwards Sr., and Reuben and Vivian Grant of Snow Hill. He is an estimator with Contract Flooring & Design Inc.

Following a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple resides in Chinquapin.

The bride wore an A-line gown designed by Moonlight Bridals. The bodice featured a lace overlay and detailed cap sleeves adorned with hand-stitched embroidery and crystals. The chiffon gown transitioned with ruching into a side swept skirt. The gown was completed with a low V-back and chapel train.

Her two-tier, tulle veil, designed by Giselle Bridals, was adorned with silver beads and white pearls, complementing the gown’s crystal embroidered lace overlay. She carried a clutch bouquet of pink and white gerbera daisies accented with black ostrich feathers and wrapped with black and white French knots.

Amber Dail of Chinquapin, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were JoAnna Mathias of Pink Hill, cousin of the bride; Ashley Faires of Jacksonville; Courtney Barnes of Savannah, Ga.; and the groom’s sister-in-law, Sarah Edwards of Kinston.

The bride’s cousin, Briana Pavucek of Pittsburgh, Pa., was the miniature bride.

Eliza Sloan of Snow Camp, the bride’s cousin, was flower girl.

The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were the groom’s brother, Jared Edwards of Kinston; Brian Edwards of La Grange, cousin of the groom; Tommy King of Goldsboro; and the bride’s brother-in-law, Jason Dail of Chinquapin.

The bride’s nephew, Jayden Dail of Chinquapin, was the miniature groom.

Avery Dail of Chinquapin, the bride’s nephew, was ring bearer.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Cedar Fork Baptist Church.
