Kelly Ann Smith of Kinston and Jonathan Daniel Manning of Grifton were united in marriage at 3 p.m. March 16, 2013, at Grifton Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Van Mitchell, pastor, officiated the ceremony.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Michael and Teresa Davis of Kinston and the late Charlie Smith Jr. She is the granddaughter of Earl and Lexine Davis of Grifton, Billy and Sarah Coward of Chocowinity, and the late Phil and Bertha Howell, who lived in Kinston.
A graduate of Bethel Christian Academy, she is a receptionist with Neil Medical Group.
The groom is the son of Michael and Cindy Manning of Grifton. He is the grandson of Robert and Jane Manning of Grifton, and Keith and Shirley Dunn of Maury.
A graduate of Beacon Christian Academy, he is a Fire Control Specialist II with the Kinston Department of Public Safety.
Tabitha Rouse of Seven Springs was maid of honor.
The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.
Following a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple resides in Grifton.
