Taylor Renee Williams and Michael Earl Davis Jr., both of Kinston, were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Jan. 12, 2013, at Rivermont Baptist Church in Kinston. The Rev. Glassie Locklear officiated the ceremony.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Marie Taylor Williams and David Creech Williams of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of the late David Ray Williams and Esther Creech Williams, the late Elbert Larry Taylor Sr. and B.L. and Thelma Efird, all of Kinston.
She is attending Mount Olive College studying early childhood education.
The groom is the son of Michael Davis Sr. and Teresa Davis of Kinston, and Nina Stotler Davis, also of Kinston. He is the grandson of Earl and Lexine Davis of Grifton, Carol Lapore of Gap, Pa., and the late Nelson Wayne Stotler Sr.
He is a deputy sheriff in Jones County.
Nicole Vanessa Goodman of Earlysville, Va., was maid of honor.
The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.
Following a wedding trip to the North Carolina Mountains, the couple resides in Kinston.
