Gray-Fien

Kimberly Denise Gray and Joshua James Fien, both of Cary, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. April 28, 2013, on the beach in Emerald Isle. The Rev. Beth Curtis performed the ceremony.

Escorted by her father, the bride is the daughter of Eddie and Kathy Gray of La Grange.

A 2012 graduate of Meredith College in Raleigh, she works with autistic children at Small Miracles.

The groom is the son Ken and Marie Fien of Pittsboro.

A 2009 graduate of UNC Charlotte, he is a paralegal with James Scott Farrin in Durham.

The bride wore an ivory, beaded strapless gown with matching veil by Galina. Crystal Coast Rentals provided the tiki arbor and table for the couple’s unity sand ceremony.

Rachel Kiser of Durham, sister-in-law of the bride, and Megan Thompson of La Grange, served as matrons of honor.

Ana Lanaro of Fayetteville was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Brandt Summerlin of La Grange, Heather Eiggs of Camden, Caitlin Darr of Matthews, Amber Fickes of Kinston and Megan Bridgers of Leland.

Emersen King of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

Groomsmen were Colin Kiser of Durham, the groom’s brother-in-law; Mike Secrest of Morganton; James Solsbee of Cherokee; Colby Hewett and Michael Carter, both of Cary.

The wedding was directed by Zena Underwood. Music was provided by DJ Robb Webb.

 

Reception/parties

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Summerhill Cottage in Emerald Isle. Catering services were provided by Zeyger’s Catering of Pantego. Averey Collette provided the wedding cake.

A bridal luncheon, given by Gaylene Fickes, was held at Our Picnic Basket in Kinston.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at White Oak River Bistro in Swansboro.
