Pelletier – Cagle

Kara Paige Pelletier of Kinston and Justin Lynn Cagle of Robbins were united in marriage at 5 p.m. May 11, 2013, at the Crystal Coast Civic Center Waterfront in Morehead City. The Rev. Penny Dollar Farmer, pastor, performed the ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her family, the bride is the daughter of Jake and Betty Pelletier of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pelletier, who lived in La Grange, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sadler, who lived in Bayboro.

A graduate of N.C. State University, she received a master’s degree from N.C. A & T State University. She is a sourcing specialist with Tyson Foods.

The groom is the son of Frances Cagle and Earl Cagle, both of Robbins. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Curtis Hussey and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cagle, all of whom lived in Robbins.

A graduate of N.C. State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, he is a veterinarian with Tyson Foods.

A wedding trip is planned for a later date. The couple resides in Fayetteville, Ark.

The bride wore a satin ivory Allure Bridals gown that featured an ivory lace overlay. The V-shaped neckline was edged with scalloped lace; a crystal encrusted satin band highlighted the empire waistline.

She carried a bouquet of coral Gerber daisies, baby’s breath and green carnations.

Maids of honor were Andrea Jean Carroll of Reiglewood and Madison Kearney of Charlotte.

Bridesmaids were Caroline Pelletier of Simpson, sister-in-law of the bride; Lina Luongo of New Bern; Emily Hobbs and Laura Hobbs, both of Raleigh; Coleman Becton of Kinston; Katie McNeill of Bisco; Emily Cope of St. Kitts, West Indies; and Sara Culbreth of Kinston.

The bride’s cousin, Ruby Shields of New Bern, was flower girl.

Best men were Brandon McNeill of Bisco and Matt Garner of Sanford.

Groomsmen were Josh Pelletier of Simpson, brother of the bride; T.J. Martin of Southern Pines; Judah Emory of Oriental; Spencer Collins of Garner; Bret Turner of Cherryville; Aaron Motsinger of Raleigh; Andrew Cope of St. Kitts, West Indies; and Wesley Bowen of Sandy Ridge.

The bride’s cousin, Ragan Shields of New Bern, was ring bearer.

Dustin Prescott was the reader. Register attendant was Allison Hollowell. Program attendants were Nikki Edmondson and Levi Morris.

The wedding was directed by Leanne Prescott and Michelle Shields.


Reception/parties

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family hosted a reception at the Crystal Coast Civic Center. Music was provided by Tom Boné, disc jockey. Serving cake was Julie Speight.

On March 8, a couple’s gift card shower was hosted by the bride’s aunts — Margaret Trott, Sandra Nutting, Linda Wayne, Miriam Prescott and Martha Sadler — at Arlington Place in Arapahoe.

On March 8, a couple’s shower was hosted by Barbara Phillips, Mary Margaret Keith, Donna Henderson, Jill Croom, Christy Fillippeli, Angela Hobbs, Kelly Jarman and Becky Whittington at Olivia’s in Kinston.

On March 9, a shower was given by the bride’s aunts — Frances Lee, Janet Burkette, Annette Vandiford and Myrtle Harrison — at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Pelletier.

March 15-17, the groomsmen hosted a bachelor’s weekend in Wrightsville Beach.

On March 27, a luncheon shower was given by the bride’s co-workers at Emelias Restaurant in Springdale, Ark.

April 12-14, the bridesmaids hosted a bachelorette’s weekend in Charleston, S.C.

On May 5, a miscellaneous shower was given by Frances Cagle, mother of the groom; Nancy Walker, aunt of the groom; and members of Smyrna Methodist Church in the church fellowship hall in Robbins.

On May 10, a bridesmaids’ luncheon was given by Cheryl Paylor, Diane Lynch, Rhonda Greene, Eva Hewitt, Ellen Benton and Kathy Pollock at the Paylor residence in Morehead City. A rehearsal dinner was given that evening by Frances Cagle, mother of the groom, at the Town Creek Marina in Beaufort.
