Harrison-Jones

Ashley Brooke Harrison and Matthew Thomas Jones were united in marriage at 6 p.m. May 25, 2013, at Mike’s Farm in Beulaville. The Rev. Brian Rogers officiated the double-ring ceremony.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Allen and Bonnie Harrison of Snow Hill. She is the granddaughter of Lillie Harrison of Snow Hill and the late Ed Harrison, Lannie Moore of Hookerton and the late Gene Moore.

A graduate of Mt. Calvary Christian Academy, she received a cosmetology license from Lenoir Community College. She is an appointment secretary with Physicians East in Greenville.

The groom is the son of Lee and Pam Jones of Farmville. He is the grandson of Bud and Annie Johnson of Ormondsville, Jean Jones of Farmville and the late Jimmie Lee Jones.

A graduate of Bethel Christian Academy, he received an associate’s degree in animal science from Wayne Community College. He is employed with Lee Jones Farms.

Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple resides in Ormondsville.

The bride wore a fitted lace mermaid-style gown with a sweetheart neckline. She carried a bouquet by Cheryl’s Floral.

Stacey Howell of Ormondsville served as matron of honor.

Maid of honor was Hannah Fortune of Knightdale.

Bridesmaids were Megan Stern of Fort Leonardwood, Miss.; Sarah Young of Knightdale; Courtney Howell of Goldsboro; and Rebecca Harrison and Dana Newby, both of Ayden.

Kailyn Stern was flower girl.

The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Jacob Sutton and Josh Potter of Kinston, Josh Harrison of Ayden, Josh Howell of Snow Hill, Justin Howell of Goldsboro and Billy Stern.

Cole Howell was ring bearer.

Lilly Howell and Colton Stern were miniature bride and groom.

Wedding music was provided by Duncan Butler, guitarist.

The wedding was directed by Connie Miller. Register attendants were Crystal Murphy, Micah Creel and Jordan Kennedy.

 

Reception/parties

Immediately following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Mike’s Farm. DJs Luke and Lisa Vail entertained guests.

The bride was honored with a lingerie shower given by Rebecca Harrison.

Pam Jones was hostess for a bridal shower at Grimsley Church.

The mother of the bride honored her daughter with a bridal shower at The Folded Napkin in Kinston.

A bachelorette party was given by Courtney Howell in Wilmington.

Stacey Howell hosted a bridal luncheon at the Old Plantation House in Snow Hill.

On May 24, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Mike’s Farm.
