Jessica Ruth Haynie and Cameron Alan Barrow, both of Greenville, were united in marriage at
noonMay 19, 2012, at the home of Jacob and Codi Turnage on Turnage Millpond in Snow Hill. The Rev. Leon Grubbs officiated the ceremony.
Escorted by her father and mother and given in marriage by her family, the bride is the daughter of Herbert and Jennifer Pugh Jr. of Hague, Va., and John Haynie Jr. of Reedville, Va.She is the granddaughter of Ruth Anne Cralle of Hague, Va., and the late Robert Cralle, and John and Bette Haynie of Reedville, Va.
The bride is a graduate of ClemsonUniversitywith a Bachelor of Science in management and is employed with Ward and Smith, PA.
The groom is the son of Tony and Sue Barrow of Snow Hill. He is the grandson of Luther and Barbara Barrow of Snow Hill, and Edna Miller of Hookerton and the late Henry Miller.
A senior at PittCommunity College, he groom is employed with Barco Building Systems.
Following a wedding trip in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Greenville.
The bride wore a gown of ivory lace and silk taffeta designed and sewn by her grandmother, Bette Haynie. Details of the gown included a lace bodice with an A-line silhouette, high collar, deep V-neckline, cap sleeves of lace, and an ivory sash of taffeta.
The back of the dress was adorned with a stream of ivory buttons from the top of the neck to the waistline. In her hair, she wore a bird cage veil embellished with an antique inspired brooch and lace detailing.
The maid of honor was Auriel Walker of Callao, Va.
Bridesmaids were Kelly Barrow Daugherty of Snow Hill, sister of the groom; and the bride’s sisters, Susan Haynie of Reedville, Va., and Annsley Pugh of Hague, Va.
The flower girl was the groom’s niece, Madison Daugherty of Snow Hill.
The groom’s father served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Bryan Daugherty of Snow Hill, brother-in-law of the groom, and Brady Haynie of Reedville, Va., brother of the bride.
The ring bearer was Ryan Daugherty of Snow Hill, nephew of the groom.
Music was provided by guitarist, Matt Kanon. Vocalists were Loretta Barrow, Laura Miller and Mack Braxton.
Program attendants were Ashley Miller of Greenville, cousin of the groom; and Jennifer Bennett of Snow Hill.
The wedding was directed by Connie Miller and Stella Miller, both of Hookerton.
Reception / parties
Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception, also at Turnage Millpond.
On Jan.28, an engagement party was given by Larry and Becky Sisson, Eddie and Becky Bowen, and Richard and Melanie Sisson in Tappahannock, Va.
On Feb. 25, a Pampered Chef shower was given by Sarah Miller and Stella Miller in Hookerton.
On March 17, a wedding shower was given by family and friends in Snow Hill.
On March 31, a bridal shower was given by Lesly Haynie Hall, Sarah Elizabeth Hall and Susan Haynie in Reedville, Va.
On April 21, a brunch was given by Connie and Roy Miller in Hookerton.
On April 30, a “Stock the Cupboard” shower was given by Mary Kathryn Jennings and co-workers in Greenville.
On May 18, a bridesmaids’ luncheon, given by the bride’s mother, Anne Lynne Baughan and Ruth Anne Cralle, was held at Atavola in Greenville. That evening, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Chef and The Farmer in Kinston.
