Cassiopia Josephine Tualla and Bradley Chase McLawhorn, both of Rock Hill, S.C., were united in marriage at 5 p.m. July 26, 2013, at the Citadel Beach House in Isle of Palms, S.C. The Rev. Pamela DeWitt was the officiating minister.
Escorted by her stepfather, Juan Marquez, and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Melinda and Juan Marquez of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Josephine and Santiago Tualla of Goose Creek, S.C.
She is a graduate of Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Arts in visual and performing arts.
The groom is the son of Marianne and Jami Ervin of Kinston, Amy McLawhorn of Charleston, S.C., and the late Fred Stephen McLawhorn Jr.
He is the grandson of Marianna Howard, Mary Lou McLawhorn, Bonnie Ervin, and Gloria and Robert Parrish, all of Kinston.
Also a graduate of Winthrop University with a B.A. in arts and sciences, he is a home preservation specialist with Wells Fargo.
Following a cruise to Key West, Fla., Grand Cayman and Ochos Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Rock Hill, S.C.
The bride wore a white strapless ball gown featuring intricately embroidered lace appliqués flowing into a semi-cathedral train. Her white tiered elbow-length veil and an all-white bouquet of roses and hydrangeas completed the ensemble.
The bride’s sister, Cleo Wolff of Charleston, S.C., was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids included the bride’s sisters, Cecile Tualla and Celina Tualla, both of Charleston, S.C.; Malia Ervin of Kinston, the groom’s sister; Jordan McLawhorn of Charleston, S.C., the groom’s sister; Josephine Hilario of Jacksonville, Fla., cousin of the bride; and Lindsay Stone of Rock Hill, S.C.
The bride’s niece, Isabel Wolff, and Kyleigh Johnson, both of Charleston, S.C., were flower girls.
In memory of his late father, Steven McLawhorn, who always will be his “best man,” the groom chose to honor him as his best man.
Groomsmen were the bride’s brother, Max Marquez of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; Joshua Johnson and Justin Lowe, both of Charleston, S.C.; the groom’s cousin, Philip Harper of Kinston; and Kelly Stone and Bryan McGill, both of Rock Hill, S.C.
Alex Johnson of Charleston, S.C., was ring bearer.
The wedding was directed by Barbara Elden of Kinston.
Program attendants were Nicholle Inabnett and Brandon Voss, both of Charleston, S.C.

Following the ceremony, the groom’s parents hosted a reception at the Citadel Beach House in Isle of Palms, S.C.
The weekend of May 24, the groomsmen hosted a bachelor weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
On June 1, an engagement party was given by Jimi and Michael Spears and Bonnie Ervin at the Spears home in Kinston.
The weekend of July 5, the bridesmaids hosted a bachelorette weekend in Charleston, S.C.
On July 25, a bridal luncheon – hosted by April Livermon, LuAnne Harper, Mary Lou McLawhorn, Marianna Howard and Gloria Parrish – was held at Morgan Creek Grill in Isle of Palms, S.C.
On July 25, a rehearsal dinner was given by Amy McLawhorn at Sticky Fingers Restaurant in Charleston, S.C.
